Join Cameron Bennett of Culture Shock for a Hip-Hop Masterclass! This high energy class will challenge students to execute intricate urban choreography while developing and maintaining a natural pop groove.  Advanced concepts such as dynamic movement, intention, and performance will be emphasized.  Students will be pushed to improve their understanding and dissection of music in order to more genuinely execute the choreography.

Cameron Bennett began his dance career in 2009 as a member of Dynamic Dance Troupe, a hip hop dance team at the University of Maryland, where he was introduced into the world of hip hop choreography.  Cameron became the Artistic Director for the group in 2011 and led the team to perform and compete at events across the East Coast.

In 2012, Cameron became a member of Culture Shock DC, the Washington D.C. chapter of an internationally known non-profit dance organization where he was given the opportunity to travel to locations such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Sand Diego, and Ottawa Canada as an ambassador of hip hop, sharing his love of dance with diverse communities.  Cameron has served as a Director of Culture Shock DC since 2015 and has played an integral role in the growth and strategic development of the organization, both artistically and operationally.

Cameron strives to educate and train dancers in the DMV area in the art of hip hop choreography and performance; he has been on faculty at Elite Dance Studio since 2013 and has taught frequently in Metropolitan area since 2012.  He is very passionate about training, teaching, and performing and hopes to share these passions with other dancers and members of this community.
